Ron DeSantis (R) has dismissed rumors that he\u2019s planning a 2024 presidential run. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, the Republican governor said \u201call the speculation around me is purely manufactured.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll the speculation about me is purely manufactured. I just do my job and we work hard,\u201d said DeSantis. \u201cI hear all this stuff and honestly it\u2019s nonsense.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This comes as President Donald Trump is slated to head to Iowa in October for a rally as speculation about a 2024 run continues to grow. Recent reports said a senior aide to Trump said it\u2019s between 99 and 100 percent certain he\u2019ll run again.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Jim Jordan also weighed in on a Trump potential run stating, \u201cI think he\u2019s gonna run. I want him to run. He\u2019s proven he can take the heat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the 45th president has signaled he\u2019d consider DeSantis for a running mate should he decide to run again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, he\u2019s a friend of mine. I endorsed Ron,\u201d said Trump during 2018. \u201cAnd after I endorsed him, he took off like a rocket ship.
