Andrew Cuomo\u2019s attempts to smear the women who accused him of sexual misconduct.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/09\/06\/us\/politics\/alphonso-david-human-rights-campaign-cuomo.html\">reported<\/a> that David was ousted on Monday by the HRC\u2019s board due to reports that he had advised Cuomo during the former governor\u2019s sexual misconduct scandal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr. David, the group\u2019s first Black president, was terminated \u2018for cause\u2019 in separate votes by the boards of the Human Rights Campaign and its affiliated foundation after the two boards held a joint meeting. Beyond two abstentions from the foundation board, the votes were unanimous,\u201d the Times reported.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Post <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/09\/07\/human-rights-campaign-removes-alphonso-david-from-staff-directory-minutes-after-firing\/\">added<\/a> that David\u2019s name was removed from its staff directory within minutes of announcing he had been fired.<\/p>\n<p>As The Daily Wire previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/top-cuomo-adviser-sent-confidential-information-about-accuser-to-media-outlets-in-attempt-to-discredit-her-report\">reported<\/a>, findings from a report from New York Attorney General Letitia James indicated David had provided confidential personnel files for Cuomo\u2019s first accuser, Lindsey Boylan, to Cuomo\u2019s staff. David no longer worked in the governor\u2019s office when he provided the information.<\/p>\n<p>David provided Boylan\u2019s information following a request from former Cuomo aide Melissa DeRosa. DeRosa at that time texted David asking to see Boylan\u2019s \u201cfull file,\u201d according to the AG report.<\/p>\n<p>David told DeRosa that another staffer should be able to provide the file for Boylan\u2019s time in the Governor\u2019s office. On December 11, 2020, just two days after Boylan\u2019s first tweet about Cuomo, David sent Azzopardi \u201cfiles relating to his investigation into and counseling of Ms. Boylan shortly before her departure from the Executive Chamber that he had retained and taken with him when he left the Executive Chamber.\u201d The report refers to these files as the \u201cConfidential Files,\u201d which included:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><em>a September 20, 2018 memorandum to Mr. David Regarding \u2018Confidential Personnel Matter\u201d;<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>a September 26, 2018 memorandum to Mr. David labeled \u201cDraft, privileged and confidential \u2013 Attorney Client Privileged Communication \/ Intra-Agency Communication \/ Memo to File\u201d;<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>a September 30, 2018 email from Mr. David labeled \u201cPrivileged and confidential \/ Attorney client communication \/ Attorney work product.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>David told investigators with the AG\u2019s office that he kept copies of these files because it \u201cmay have been the only instance where [he] was actually involved in a counseling of an employee when [he] was in the Executive Chamber.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Twitter, David alleged that he had been pressured to resign before he was fired and that he had been given conflicting information about the HRC\u2019s investigations into his conduct. He also claimed the board indicated it had \u201cfound no evidence of wrongdoing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheir refusal to offer up the findings, even with the indication that they found no evidence of wrongdoing, and yet still urge me to consider resigning during a holiday weekend to avoid media interest, does a disservice to any persons or organizations involved in the fight for civil and human rights,\u201d David wrote.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
