(Photo by Sergio Flores\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 8:14 PM PT \u2013 Saturday, September 4, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>A Texas county judge issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/6b\/5b\/6b5b7660-3ec0-458f-8fc2-433185e1dd86\/20210902_temporary_restraining_order_granted.pdf\">temporary order<\/a> halting a pro-life organization from abiding by Texas\u2019 new pro-life law that aims to enforce a new six-week abortion ban. On Friday, Judge Maya Gamble placed a temporary restraining order against the Texas Right to Life in favor of three Planned Parenthood affiliates.<\/p>\n<p>The restraining order essentially prevents the Texas Right to Life group from helping to enforce the new pro-life laws in Texas that bans abortions after six weeks. The order is due to expire on Sept. 17, although experts say this may just be the first in many efforts to block the new Texas law.<\/p>\n<p>The order \u201coffers protection to the brave health care providers and staff at Planned Parenthood health centers throughout Texas, who have continued to offer care as best they can within the law while facing surveillance, harassment and threats from vigilantes eager to stop them,\u201d said a Planned Parenthood spokesperson.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Texas\u2019s abortion ban is in effect.
