Wade<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI respect people who think that \u2014 who don\u2019t support <i>Roe v. Wade<\/i>; I respect their views. I respect them \u2014 they \u2014 those who believe life begins at the moment of conception and all. I respect that,\u201d Biden claimed. \u201cDon\u2019t agree, but I respect that. I\u2019m not going to impose that on people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Caller News Foundation <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/03\/biden-abortion-life-conception\/\">highlighted<\/a> multiple instances in the past where Biden said that he accepted the view that life begins at the moment of conception:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2015<\/strong>, interview with Father Matt Malone of America Media: \u201cI\u2019m prepared to accept that the moment of conception is a human life and being, but I\u2019m not prepared to say that to \u2026 people that have a different view.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>2012<\/strong>, vice-presidential debate against then-candidate Paul Ryan: \u201cWith regard to abortion, I accept my church\u2019s position on abortion as a \u2014 what we call de fide (doctrine ?). Life begins at conception. That\u2019s the church\u2019s judgment. But what I was told \u2014 and I must tell you, I am not certain \u2014 I was told that there are possibilities within the existing law to have the Justice Department look and see whether there are things that can be done that can limit the independent action of individuals in enforcing a federal sys- \u2014 a state law. I don\u2019t know enough to give you an answer yet. I\u2019ve asked that to be checked.
