Economists have pointed out that the delta variant could affect the economy, with cases surging and restrictions being re-implemented for fully vaccinated Americans.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/24\/crenshaw-biden-building-taliban-back-much-better\/\">Biden<\/a> briefly acknowledged the lackluster report, noting that he was hoping to see \u201ca larger number.\u201d Still, the president highlighted adding \u201cjobs in every single one of\u201d his \u201cfirst seven jobs report.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome wanted to see a larger number today, and so did I,\u201d Biden said. \u201cBut what we\u2019ve seen is continued growth month after month. We\u2019ve added jobs in every single one of my first seven jobs reports \u2026 This is the kind of growth that makes our economy stronger. Consistent progress, not boom or bust.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/11\/joe-biden-downplays-inflation-build-back-better-agenda\/\">president<\/a> echoed economists\u2019 concerns about the delta variant, saying this was the reason for the low numbers. He once again referred to COVID-19 as a \u201cpandemic of the unvaccinated\u201d while calling his economic plan \u201cdurable and strong.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven in the face of this continuing delta surge, a strength in our economy very different from the way things were last winter. There\u2019s no question the delta variant is why today\u2019s jobs report isn\u2019t stronger. I know people were looking and I was hoping for a higher number,\u201d Biden said.<\/p>\n<p>Biden promised to continue protecting businesses and schools from the delta variant, calling the \u201cfight against COVID \u2026 far different from the fight we were waging last winter.\u201d Biden soon turned to his \u201cBuild Back Better\u201d agenda, calling on Congress to \u201cfinish the job of passing\u201d his \u201ceconomic agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The president said doing so would \u201ckeep up the historic momentum we\u2019ve been building these last seven months.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe house and Senate have to advance my Build Back Better agenda,\u201d Biden said, referring to the massive spending bill. \u201cThat bill contains critical investments in child care, to make it easier for families to be able go to work and assure their child is being take care of. And home care for seniors. The polling data shows among your generation \u2026 your greatest concern is carried for your elderly parent, even more than your child. It\u2019s about paid leave.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden also addressed climate change, promising to build a \u201cclean energy future\u201d in the way of multiple natural disasters affecting America.
