On Tuesday, a Taliban political spokesman said the group sees \u201cthe holy Islamic system\u201d as the main guarantee of Afghanistan\u2019s independence moving forward.<\/p>\n<p>The statement comes after a three-day conference of Taliban leaders in the city of Kandahar, but few details have been made available so far.
