The order expires Sept. 14.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"View Judge Grants Temporary Restraining Order Blocking Texas Heartbeat Bill From Going Into Effect on Scribd\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/522544719\/Judge-Grants-Temporary-Restraining-Order-Blocking-Texas-Heartbeat-Bill-From-Going-Into-Effect#from_embed\">Judge Grants Temporary Rest\u2026<\/a> by <a title=\"View Mary Margaret Olohan&#039;s profile on Scribd\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/user\/506904746\/Mary-Margaret-Olohan#from_embed\">Mary Margaret Olohan<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Texas Right to Life insisted in a press release that the ruling only protects Simpson Tuegel from being sued by Texas Right to Life and Legislative Director John Seago, that the Heartbeat Act is still set to go into effect Wednesday and that the ruling does not impact any other citizen\u2019s ability to sue for violations of the legislation, \u201cdespite attempts to manipulate the media.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis ruling by a Travis County judge does not change Texas Right to Life\u2019s plans,\u201d the organization said. \u201cTexas Right to Life is still legally authorized to sue others who violate the Texas Heartbeat Act, including abortionists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Simpson Tuegel had filed a lawsuit Aug. 23 arguing that the Heartbeat Act endangers lawyers who provide legal advice on abortions. She said in a statement that the decision means, \u201cat least for today, a court is communicating to Texas\u2019 women that they will continue to legally access resources, advice and support as it relates to abortion in Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her attorneys maintain that the ruling affects not only Texas Right to Life and Seago but also \u201cthose they are working to organize to bring lawsuits.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/23\/attorney-lawsuit-texas-abortion-law\/\">(RELATED: Attorney Takes Legal Action To Block \u2018Desperate\u2019 Texas Law Allowing Citizens To Sue Clinics, Doctors For Performing Abortions)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe look forward to making the case on behalf of our clients on September 13 for more permanent relief while the court can appropriately consider how blatantly unconstitutional SB8 is in so many respects, and how many different people it puts at risk,\u201d Simpson Tuegel\u2019s attorneys Jenny Ecklund, Elizabeth Myers, and Mackenzie Wallace said in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation.<\/p>\n<div id=\"\/10519169\/dailycaller_inline1\" class=\"ad\" data-google-query-id=\"CPfR26zU2_ICFQJBhwod5oYKBg\" readability=\"13.25763016158\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/10519169\/dailycaller_inline1_0__container__\" readability=\"21.605026929982\">\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/23\/attorney-lawsuit-texas-abortion-law\/\">law<\/a>, which makes exceptions for medical emergencies but not in cases of rape or incest, has raised the ire of pro-abortion advocates as it allows \u201cany person\u201d to sue doctors, abortion clinics, or anyone who \u201cknowingly engages in conduct that aids or abets the performance or inducement of an abortion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Those who sue over an abortion may be awarded $10,000 \u201cfor each abortion that the defendant\u201d performed, induced, aided, or abetted in violation of the law \u2014 monetary amounts that some pro-abortion advocates are&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JoyAnnReid\/status\/1414556649004703748?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">calling<\/a>&nbsp;\u201cbounties.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThis bill is yet another desperate attempt by the state of Texas to undermine a woman\u2019s right to choose \u2014 this time by dismantling her legal support system,\u201d Simpson Tuegel said in a statement when she filed the lawsuit. \u201cIt unlawfully attempts to block attorneys\u2019 communications with their female clients, especially at times when the clients need them the most.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"View Michelle Simpson Tuegel Lawsuit Against TX Heartbeat Act on Scribd\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/521336544\/Michelle-Simpson-Tuegel-Lawsuit-Against-TX-Heartbeat-Act#from_embed\">Michelle Simpson Tuegel Law\u2026<\/a> by <a title=\"View Mary Margaret Olohan&#039;s profile on Scribd\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/user\/506904746\/Mary-Margaret-Olohan#from_embed\">Mary Margaret Olohan<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Center for Reproductive Rights President Nancy Northrop <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/08\/30\/politics\/abortion-texas-supreme-court\/index.html\">warned<\/a> Monday that if the law is not blocked within the next two days, \u201cTexas politicians will have effectively overturned Roe v.
