Democratic Mississippi Rep. Lauren Boebert, Georgia Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Jody Hice, Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, Arizona Reps. Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar, Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks, North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn, Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert and Pennsylvania Rep. Scott Perry. All eleven <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2021\/01\/07\/us\/elections\/electoral-college-biden-objectors.html\">objected<\/a> to at least one state\u2019s Electoral College count and reportedly played a role in the \u201cStop the Steal\u201d rally. Brooks and Cawthorn <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/02\/10\/trump-impeachement-stop-the-steal-speakers-467554\">spoke<\/a> at the \u201cStop the Steal\u201d rally which immediately proceeded the riot.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan spoke with Trump on Jan. 6 \u201cmore than once,\u201d although he doesn\u2019t \u201crecall the times,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/newsletters\/playbook\/2021\/08\/29\/about-jim-jordans-other-jan-6-call-with-trump-494169\">told<\/a> Politico on Sunday. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/21\/nancy-pelosi-rejects-two-republicans-january-6-select-committee-jim-jordan-jim-banks-capitol-riot\/\">rejected<\/a> Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy\u2019s request to appoint Jordan to the Select Committee. Republican Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, who is one of two Republicans Pelosi appointed to the Select Committee, <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/house\/564180-cheney-gop-leader-seeking-to-block-real-jan-6-investigation\">said<\/a> that Jordan \u201cmay well be a material witness to events that led to that day\u201d in defending the rejection. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/21\/liz-cheney-agrees-nancy-pelosi-rejecting-two-republicans-jim-jordan-jim-banks-january-6-select-committee\/\"><strong>(RELATED: Liz Cheney Says She Agrees With Speaker Pelosi On Rejecting Two Republicans For The Jan. 6 Select Committee)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Select Committee would have to subpoena the telecommunications companies that hold the members\u2019 phone records in order to gain access to the records. The preservation request does not give the committee access to the phone records, but does ensure that the phone companies will maintain the records in preparation for a subpoena.<\/p>\n<p>The Committee <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/27\/jan-6-committee-capitol-riot-facebook-twitter\/\">demanded<\/a> that 15 tech companies hand over data on \u201cmisinformation, disinformation, and malinformation relating to the 2020 election,\u201d efforts to overturn the election, and \u201cdomestic violent extremists,\u201d in Friday, Aug. 27 letter.
