In a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RonnyJacksonTX\/status\/1431801057689100295\">tweet<\/a> on Saturday, Congressman Ronny Jackson (R-Texas) voiced his anger, saying American citizens are trapped outside the Kabul airport and the State Department won\u2019t help them.<\/p>\n<p>Texas lawmaker Dan Crenshaw (R) posted a similar <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DanCrenshawTX\/status\/1431807027748163585\">tweet<\/a>, stating how Joe Biden hasn\u2019t allowed U.S. citizens through airport gates for the last 24 hours. Additionally, Rep. Mike Waltz (R-Fla.) claimed Biden has <a href=\"https:\/\/af.usembassy.gov\/security-alert-u-s-embassy-kabul-afghanistan-august-28-2021\/\">ordered the gate closed<\/a> and said our fellow Americans will soon be left behind.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">US citizens are not being allowed into Kabul international. <\/p>\n<p>Biden has ordered the gates closed. Mike Waltz (@michaelgwaltz) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/michaelgwaltz\/status\/1431827944792629252?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 29, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This comes as the Pentagon announced the U.S. mission in Afghanistan is still slated to come to an end in the coming days.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we get closer and we are getting closer, you\u2019re going to see us begin to make those muscle movements to pull out our troops and some of our equipment, as appropriate with any retrograde,\u201d Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby said at a briefing.
