In a statement on Friday, U.S. Central Command said initial reports indicated that an unmanned airstrike in the Nangarhar Province killed its target, which was an ISIS-K member. There is no known civilian casualties.<\/p>\n<p>The over-the-horizon counterterrorism operation comes after the terrorist group claimed responsibility for the deadly bombing outside the Kabul airport that took the lives of 13 U.S. service members. Following the attack, Joe Biden vowed \u201cwe will hunt you down and make you pay.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I will defend our people and our interests with every measure at my command.<\/p>\n<p>To those who carried out this attack: We will not forgive. We will not forget. Additionally, Maj. Gen.
