During Friday\u2019s press briefing at the White House, Psaki said Biden still has confidence in his top generals and diplomats despite criticism levied against them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet me be clear: The evacuation of thousands of people from Kabul was going to be hard and painful no matter when it started, when we began. It would have been true if we had started a month ago\u2026or a month from now,\u201d said Biden. \u201cThere\u2019s no way to evacuate this many people without pain and loss of heartbreaking images you see on television. It\u2019s just a fact.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Psaki called the attack at the Kabul airport, where multiple U.S. service members were killed, a tragedy.
