Andrew Cuomo\u2019s accusers.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>A Wednesday evening report from the Washington Post found that Tchen told colleagues not to back Cuomo accuser Lindsey Boylan.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cThe audacity of Tina Tchen to remain in her position after all of this news is really a slap in the face,\u201d said Cuomo accuser Charlotte Bennett. \u201cI don\u2019t understand how she can be a leader in this space anymore.\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Calls for TIME\u2019S UP co-founder Tina Tchen to resign are growing amid more and more evidence that she worked against Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo\u2019s accusers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTime\u2019s Up managed to twist victim advocacy to protecting sexual predators in power,\u201d President Joe Biden\u2019s accuser Tara Reade told the Daily Caller News Foundation Thursday morning. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/23\/times-up-andrew-cuomo-joe-biden-tara-reade-christine-ford-brett-kavanaugh-tara-reade\/\">(RELATED: TIME\u2019S UP Waged War On Kavanaugh But Covered For Cuomo and Biden)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cTina Tchen in her role at Time\u2019s Up was entrusted with a sacred duty of holding survivors\u2019 trust as they navigate coming forward about sexual abuse by a powerful man,\u201d she added. \u201cThese recent revelations demonstrate not her dereliction in her basic duties to survivors but her using her power to silence and discredit us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>TIME\u2019S UP co-founder Roberta Kaplan resigned Aug. 9 after investigators found she aided the Cuomo administration in discrediting his accusers, according to a report by the New York attorney general\u2019s office. That report <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/03\/new-york-attorney-general-letitia-james-andrew-cuomo-sexually-harassment-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/03\/new-york-attorney-general-letitia-james-andrew-cuomo-sexually-harassment-women\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1628604556715000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGnopfZEyEoBW8GB4LIocrGTNpllw\">found<\/a>&nbsp;that Cuomo had \u201csexually harassed a number of State employees through unwelcome and unwanted touching\u201d and \u201coffensive and sexually suggestive comments.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tchen was also implicated in the report but vigorously denied any involvement in discrediting Cuomo accusers. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/times-up-cuomo-harassment\/2021\/08\/25\/d4f9616e-05b9-11ec-8c3f-3526f81b233b_story.html\">Wednesday evening report from the Washington Post<\/a>, however, found that Tchen told colleagues not to back Cuomo accuser Lindsey Boylan and pressured top Cuomo aide Melissa DeRosa to personally oversee an investigation into the \u201cworkplace culture\u201d at the governor\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"10.75\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u201cchief executive <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TinaTchen?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@TinaTchen<\/a> told her colleagues to \u201cstand down\u201d from a plan to release a public statement supporting Cuomo\u2019s first accuser, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LindseyBoylan?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@LindseyBoylan<\/a>, after two people connected to the group spoke with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/melissadderosa?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@melissadderosa<\/a>, the governor\u2019s longtime adviser.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Janice Dean (@JaniceDean) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JaniceDean\/status\/1430794079026176004?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 26, 2021<\/a> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>DeRosa briefed Kaplan about a Cuomo statement in response to Boylan\u2019s allegations, two people familiar with the conversations told the Post, and Kaplan shared that statement with Tchen. Text messages from Dec. 15 obtained by the Post show that Tchen then told her colleagues to \u201cstand down\u201d and not release a statement supporting Boylan\u2019s allegations.<\/p>\n<p>The Washington Post report also detailed how TIME\u2019S UP staff discussed issuing a standard statement that supported Boylan\u2019s right to be heard after Fox News reached out to the organization on Dec. 15 about the allegations against Cuomo. Both Tchen and board member Hilary Rosen (who is vice chair of communications at consulting firm SKDK) argued that TIME\u2019S UP should not respond in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Rosen wrote that she did not want to provide Fox \u201ca headline to run all day,\u201d the publication reported. Rosen told the Post that Fox News has a reputation for politicizing sexual harassment and that she did not want to give them the opportunity to do so \u201cas a survivor.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/24\/metoo-clinton-accusers-kamala-harris-bill-clinton\/\">(RELATED: #METOO \u2018Never Acknowledged We Exist\u2019: Clinton Accusers Condemn Harris, Clinton Co-Hosting Women\u2019s Empowerment Event)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the events from December 2020, we have a policy of not commenting on self-reported statements. We did discuss deviating from that policy, given a request for comment from Fox News,\u201d Tchen told the Post on Wednesday evening. \u201cWe also suggested that the Governor\u2019s office respond by doing a review of their workplace culture. Ultimately, we decided not to comment given our policy, but in so doing did not intend to silence Ms. Boylan or any survivor. I deeply regret that survivors, who have already endured a great deal, feel let down and betrayed.
