Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) said \u201cthere\u2019s not the time\u201d for impeachment. He added, \u201cit\u2019s obviously just a political point trying to be made.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The events unfolding at the Capitol are shameful. There is no justification for violence and destruction. It has to stop now. This is not who we are as a nation. (Photo by Nicholas Kamm-Pool\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe were never going to create that commission, it was an idea that wouldn\u2019t ever reach a conclusion, we\u2019re not going to impeach the President,\u201d Blunt stated. \u201cIt\u2019s a purely politically motivated thing on the part of the Speaker and Senator Schumer.
