During a press briefing on Monday, Psaki said Americans were not stranded and added it was \u201cirresponsible\u201d to suggest so.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst of all, I think it\u2019s irresponsible to say Americans are stranded. They are not,\u201d she stated. \u201cWe are committed to bringing Americans who want to come home, home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many criticized her statement by arguing the irresponsibility was really the U.S. troop withdrawal, which has left thousands stuck under the Taliban\u2019s control.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u2026we are not leaving Americans who want to return home.  We are going to bring them home.
