Journalists took to Moscow\u2019s Lubyanka Square on Saturday to protest the Justice Ministry\u2019s addition of Rain TV and the investigative outlet Important Stories to the list of \u201cforeign agents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rain TV in particular extensively covered the poisoning and imprisonment of opposition leader Alexei Navlany. The \u201cforeign agent\u201d label comes with closer government scrutiny.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Democracies don&#8217;t poison opposition.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been one year since Alexei <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Navalny?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Navalny<\/a> was stricken with a Novichok nerve agent, and rushed to Germany for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Criticism brings light, and human rights know no borders.
