What that really meant is that the public health benefits outweighed the known and potential harms.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWhat this says today is we know the benefits, we know the harms, and this vaccine is safe and effective, and every confidence can be given to that,\u201d Giroir continued. \u201cAmericans should feel very good \u2014 even better than they did yesterday \u2014 about getting the vaccine.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A few hours after her original post, Power <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LisPower1\/status\/1429841048621232136\"><span>tweeted<\/span><\/a><span>, \u201cAs people are noting, the guest in the segment stated that full approval means that people can be confident that the vaccines are safe and effective.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThat doesn\u2019t negate that the immediate framing was \u2018critics asking if the process was rushed,\u2019\u201d she added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>As <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-fda-approves-pfizer-covid-19-vaccine\"><span>The Daily Wire<\/span><\/a><span> reported, \u201c<\/span><span>The Food and Drug Administration issued full approval to the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine on Monday morning, marking the first time a vaccine against the disease caused by the novel coronavirus pandemic has been given the stamp of approval from regulators.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201c<\/span><span>The vaccine, which was granted FDA emergency use authorization in December, will now be marketed under the name Comirnaty for Americans 16-years-old or older,\u201d the report added.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe FDA\u2019s approval of this vaccine is a milestone as we continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic.
