While I have made my own decision, I respect that every individual \u2014 including our coaches, staff and student-athletes \u2014 can make his or her own decision regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. I will not comment further on my decision.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>That plan appears to have been altered after a vaccine mandate by the governor of Washington.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>On Wednesday, a Washington state mandate was announced requiring employees working in K-12 up to higher education to be vaccinated. All employees working in school facilities will have until October 18 to be fully vaccinated or risk losing their jobs.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt has been a long pandemic, and our students and teachers have borne their own unique burdens throughout,\u201d Washington governor Jay Inslee (D-WA) <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@GovInslee\/inslee-announces-educator-vaccination-requirement-and-statewide-indoor-mask-mandate-a2f5a47d8a31\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><b>.<\/b><span> \u201cThis virus is increasingly impacting young people, and those under the age of 12 still can\u2019t get the vaccine for themselves. We won\u2019t gamble with the health of our children, our educators and school staff, nor the health of the communities they serve.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>According to Chris Grygiel of the Associated Press, Inslee\u2019s office specifically mentioned Rolovich, saying the rules apply to the head coach as well.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWashington Gov.
