The law, which is from 2017, has never actually been enforced, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/health-texas-courts-abortion-bd1aaae2ef58820947f160118e79a85d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Associated Press<\/a> (AP).<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit <a href=\"https:\/\/reproductiverights.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/En-Banc-Opinion.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">found<\/a> a Federal District Court Judge was wrong in determining the law placed \u201can undue burden on a large fraction of women.\u201d The appeals court panel found Wednesday that \u201cdoctors can safely perform [dilation-and-evacuation] and comply with SB8 using methods that are already in widespread use.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7264017\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"36\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7264017\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7264017\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/abortion-pic-2-scaled-1.jpg\" alt=\"An abortion rights activist holds placards outside of the US Supreme Court before the Court struck down a Texas law placing restrictions on abortion clinics on June 27, 2016 in Washington, DC.
