The fall of the Middle Eastern country\u2019s government, constructed by the U.S. over the past two decades, required seemingly minimal bloodshed, as many Afghan soldiers chose to lay down their arms, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/2021\/08\/15\/afghanistan-military-collapse-taliban\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to The Washington Post.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"7.1911764705882\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Taliban fighters posing with US weapons in a base they just captured easily.
