On Friday, both teachers and students at Hickman County High School launched a protest against the school board\u2019s decision to mandate face coverings.<\/p>\n<p>This comes as the Kentucky Board of Education passed a 270-day emergency mask regulation for public schools statewide. Reports said students at Hickman High School were asked to either wear a mask or leave, with many choosing to leave.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe [the superintendent] never did say he would send our children home. I would not have sent my kids to school today knowing that,\u201d said Kory Narnjo, parent of a student who attends Hickman. \u201cOur kids came to school.
