Andrew Cuomo\u2019s impeachment even after his decision to resign, Fox News reported Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Cuomo <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/10\/cuomo-announces-resignation-following-ag-sexual-harassment-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">announced<\/a> Tuesday that he would resign by Aug. 24 amid the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/03\/new-york-attorney-general-letitia-james-andrew-cuomo-sexually-harassment-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">damning report<\/a> by New York Attorney General Letitia James that found serial sexual harassment by Cuomo. While he denied the allegations, the governor explained his decision to resign by saying he needed to help the New York State government focus on the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/01\/28\/new-york-coronavirus-deaths-andrew-cuomo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">COVID-19 pandemic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Several state legislators have since voiced the need for <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/03\/eric-adams-impeachment-andrew-cuomo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cuomo\u2019s impeachment<\/a> that would prevent him from running for office again, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/cuomo-repeats-history-to-potentially-preserve-political-future-as-impeachment-looms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to Fox News.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"15.272727272727\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The projected costs of doing the people\u2019s work, of doing our jobs as legislators, of continuing the impeachment process, were the same yesterday as they are today.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t find this new \u201cbut impeachment uses resources\u201d argument compelling, nor does it seem earnest to me.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Julia Salazar (@JuliaCarmel__) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JuliaCarmel__\/status\/1425246830548377600?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 11, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe have a responsibility to go through the full impeachment process.
