Liz Cheney.<\/p>\n<p>Politico&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/08\/11\/trump-cheney-wyoming-primary-challenge-504096\">reported<\/a>&nbsp;that Trump will meet with Harriet Hageman, a Republican attorney who ran unsuccessfully for governor in 2018. The meeting comes as Trump ramps up efforts to oust Cheney, one of his top Republican critics.<\/p>\n<p>Trump announced he would meet with multiple primary challengers at his New Jersey golf club,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/20\/donald-trump-liz-cheney-opponents-endorsement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">saying in July<\/a>&nbsp;that he wanted to make sure he endorsed only the right one.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a \u2018hot\u2019 race with some very interesting candidates running against her. Remember though, in the end we just want ONE CANDIDATE running against Cheney,\u201d Trump said. \u201cI\u2019ll be meeting with some of her opponents in Bedminster next week and will be making my decision on who to endorse in the next few months. She lambasted the former president following the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, saying that he \u201clit the flame.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNone of this would have happened without the President,\u201d&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/01\/06\/liz-cheney-says-trump-created-incited-mob\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">she said at the time<\/a>. \u201cThe President could have immediately and forcefully intervened to stop the violence. He did not.
