His removal came just days after a <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/actblue-has-not-cut-ties-with-cuomo-amid-sexual-harassment-allegations\/\">report<\/a> on his then-active page.<\/p>\n<p>ActBlue did not respond to inquiries on whether a new standard has been adopted for active participants, a group that includes several politicians who face accusations ranging from spousal abuse to child sex crimes.<\/p>\n<p>Here are 10 Democrats from around the country whose days could be numbered on ActBlue.<\/p>\n<h3>John Thompson<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/?attachment_id=1505772\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1505772\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1505772\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.freebeacon.com\/up\/2021\/08\/El9Rrp5W0AE79Ds.jpeg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/El9Rrp5W0AE79Ds.jpeg 600w, https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/El9Rrp5W0AE79Ds-300x300.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/El9Rrp5W0AE79Ds-150x150.jpeg 150w, https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/El9Rrp5W0AE79Ds-491x491.jpeg 491w\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thompson is a Minnesota lawmaker who repeatedly abused his girlfriend and spent time in jail for assault. After one of his attacks, the girlfriend told the police Thompson told her, &#8220;I&#8217;ll choke you until you can\u2019t breathe anymore.&#8221; Minnesota&#8217;s Democratic governor, Tim Walz, has <a href=\"https:\/\/minnesota.cbslocal.com\/video\/5799135-gov-walz-calls-for-rep-john-thompson-to-resign\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">repeatedly called<\/a> for Thompson&#8217;s resignation. His <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.actblue.com\/donate\/john-for-67a-1\">ActBlue page<\/a> remains active.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\">Justin Fairfax<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/politics\/sexual-assault-accuser-fairfax-forced-me-to-perform-oral-sex-on-him\/attachment\/us-politics-racism-northam\/\" width=\"485\" height=\"347\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Fairfax, Virginia&#8217;s lieutenant governor, faced calls for his resignation from fellow Democrats after he was accused in 2019 of sexually assaulting a women. His <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.actblue.com\/donate\/fairfax-for-governor-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ActBlue page<\/a> remains active.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\">Tony Navarrete<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The former Arizona lawmaker was <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/mark-kelly-calls-for-allys-resignation-following-child-sex-abuse-charges\/\">arrested last week<\/a> and faces seven felony charges for allegedly sexually molesting a 12-year-old boy. Navarrete, a close ally of Sen. Mark Kelly (D., Ariz.), resigned on Tuesday. He was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/01\/12\/nyregion\/senator-luis-sepulveda-arrest.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">charged<\/a> with criminal obstruction of breathing. New York Democrats immediately <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/newsroom\/press-releases\/andrea-stewart-cousins\/statement-senate-majority-leader-andrea-stewart-19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stripped<\/a> him of committee assignments. In one instance, Franken allegedly tried to force a congressional staffer to kiss him, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2017\/12\/06\/al-franken-accusation-sexual-harassment-2006-281049\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">telling<\/a> the woman, &#8220;It&#8217;s my right as an entertainer.&#8221; Franken&#8217;s Midwest Values PAC raised over $200,000 through ActBlue in the last filing period, according to campaign finance documents. Carper has lied about the incident throughout his political career, and is raising money for his 2024 reelection campaign. Lujan Grisham &#8220;took a water bottle and dumped it on my crotch and then slapped and grabbed me in front of everybody,&#8221; the Democratic aide said in 2019. Leaders in New Mexico&#8217;s state legislature accused the governor of misusing taxpayer funds to push back on the accusations. Although he denied the sexual relationship, he later <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/politics\/57-year-old-joe-morrissey-now-says-he-will-marry-teen-mother-of-his-child\/\">married the teenager<\/a> and admitted that he was the father of her child. He resigned from Virginia&#8217;s House of Delegates in 2014 after he was convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Virginia has disbarred him on multiple occasions. Hill was at one time in a &#8220;throuple&#8221; with her husband and a female campaign staffer. Since resigning, Hill created the HER Time PAC to &#8220;support young women running for office&#8221; and is reportedly considering <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/cnn-enthusiastic-katie-hill-office-again-get-arena\">another run<\/a> for political office. While serving as a federal judge in 1989, Hastings was caught engaging in a &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-srv\/politics\/campaigns\/junkie\/links\/hastings102189.htm\">corrupt conspiracy<\/a>&#8221; to extort a bribe worth $150,000 on a case before him. In a bipartisan vote, the Senate voted 69 to 26 that Hastings was guilty, stripping him of his lifetime pension. It was the first time a federal official was ever impeached and removed for a crime for which a jury had acquitted him.
