Gavin Newsom as \u201creally groundbreaking\u201d and \u201cgreat governor,\u201d urging voters to reject the recall election.<\/p>\n<p>Pelosi <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/VPVY0xGf1KE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">appeared<\/a>&nbsp;at a Tuesday press conference on the American Rescue Plan and the tens of billions it allocated for federal <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/21\/treasury-department-emergency-rent-assistance-patrick-mchenry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">emergency rental assistance<\/a>. Having made her concluding remarks, she was asked to comment on the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/23\/gavin-newsom-election-challenge-moves-forward\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">recall election<\/a> scheduled for Sep. 14.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s been a great governor, and I\u2019d like to see this, shall we say, nuisance \u2014 but it\u2019s part of what you can do, so we respect that \u2014 but we have to also get out the vote,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/06\/nancy-pelosi-confident-democrats-win-house-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pelosi<\/a> said, responding to the question.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReject the recall. It\u2019s not good for you. She called the forthcoming election \u201cnot a very wholesome purpose,\u201d adding, however, that the Democrats \u201cjust have to get on with it.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/27\/gavin-newsom-recall-rises-california-split-larry-elder-caitlyn-jenner-kevin-faulconer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Support For Newsom Recall Rises, Californians Now Split: Poll)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the election day, voters will be asked first if they want to recall Newsom and then who they want to see as the governor instead. If more than 50% of the voters choose to replace Newsom, the candidate with the highest number of votes will be announced as the winner.<\/p>\n<p>There are currently 46 candidates in the race, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/pelosi-newsom-recall-not-good-children\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to Fox News. Among the Republicans who have announced their bid for the office are <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/12\/larry-elder-candidacy-governor-california-race\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">conservative radio host Larry Elder<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/28\/caitlyn-jenner-end-cancel-culture-wake-woke-governor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner<\/a>, San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, businessman John Cox and former House Rep.
