OAN reporters Chanel Rion and Christina Bobb were also listed as defendants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe defendants in today\u2019s filings recklessly disregarded the truth when they spread lies in November and continue to do so today,\u201d Dominion CEO John Poulos <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dominionvoting.com\/latest-news-dominion-files-suits-against-newsmax-one-america-news-network-patrick-byrne\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> in a statement. \u201cWe are filing these three cases today because the defendants named show no remorse, nor any sign they intend to stop spreading disinformation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis barrage of lies by the Defendants and others have caused\u2014and continue to cause\u2014severe damage to our company, customers, and employees,\u201d he continued. \u201cWe have no choice but to seek to hold those responsible to account.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/11\/12\/cybersecurity-infrastructure-agency-donald-trump-bryan-ware-christopher-krebs\/\"><b>(RELATED: Cybersecurity And Infrastructure Security Agency Calls 2020 Election \u2018Most Secure In American History\u2019)<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dominion alleged in each of the suits that the defendants\u2019 \u201cviral disinformation campaign\u201d cost it more than $1 billion and prevented it from becoming a multi-billion dollar company. (Drew Angerer\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThe First Amendment is a cherished cornerstone of our democracy,\u201d the complaint against OAN said. \u201cBut the First Amendment is not a get-out-of-jail-free pass and clearly does not extend to Defendants\u2019 conduct here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/02\/09\/sidney-powell-dominion-voting-election-trump\/\">Dominion<\/a> also accused Byrne of manufacturing several widely-shared conspiracies including claims involving Chinese, Venezuelan and Spanish companies, the Department of Homeland Security and Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter blowing up his career at Overstock by having an affair with a Russian spy, Patrick Byrne soon found himself a new pet project: promoting the false narrative that the 2020 election had been stolen,\u201d the opening line of the complaint said.<\/p>\n<p>Dominion has already filed multiple defamation lawsuits against news outlets and individuals it says knowingly spread lies about its role in the November 2020 presidential election. In March, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/26\/dominion-billion-suit-fox-news-election-fraud-claims\/\">sued<\/a> Fox News for $1.6 billion in damages.<\/p>\n<p>Dominion also sued <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/01\/08\/dominion-sues-sidney-powell-libel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sidney Powell<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/01\/25\/rudy-giuliani-sued-dominion-voting-systems-election-2020\/?filter_by=popular&amp;page=55\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rudy Giuliani<\/a>, who both filed voter fraud suits on behalf of former President Donald <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/05\/trump-allies-election-integrity-alliance\/\">Trump<\/a> after the election, and MyPillow founder <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/02\/22\/dominion-voting-systems-mike-lindell-mypillow-lawsuit-oan-2020-election-donald-trump-joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mike Lindell<\/a> over election claims.<\/p>\n<p>On Jan. 6, while Congress voted to certify the election, Trump supporters <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/01\/15\/fbi-arrests-former-school-therapist-capitol-riot\/\">breached<\/a> the Capitol in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/26\/kevin-mccarthy-pelosi-cheney-kinzinger-jan-6-committee-congress\/\">protest of the results<\/a>.
