In a ruling on Thursday, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals cited Supreme Court precedent, which allowed a waiting period.<\/p>\n<p>The court decided the waiting period was reasonably related to Tennessee\u2019s interest in protecting the right to life. Even if most women go forward with an abortion after the waiting period, the court argued many may decide to not follow through after a period of reflection.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The Sixth Circuit Court\u2019s decision to restore Tennessee\u2019s 48-hour waiting period is a win for the sanctity of life!<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rep.
