Version: 4.0.47--><div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Dave-Portnoy.jpg?w=1200&amp;h=800&amp;ixlib=react-9.0.3\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\" \/><\/div>\n<p><span>Barstool Sports is launching sports bars in Philadelphia and Chicago.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>An earnings report from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pennnationalgaming.gcs-web.com\/news-releases\/news-release-details\/penn-national-gaming-reports-second-quarter-revenues-15458\"><span>Penn National Gaming<\/span><\/a><span> \u2014 which holds a minority stake in Barstool \u2014 reveals that the sports entertainment company is taking on several new ventures as it continues to grow in popularity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The earnings report explains:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"24\">\n<p><i><span>Not only does Barstool Sports\u2019 creative content, exclusive bets, and social media reach provide a competitive advantage for our mobile sportsbook via low-cost customer acquisition, but it also provides us with the brand leverage to drive our omnichannel strategy as the Barstool audience converts to our core gaming businesses.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Barstool Sports, the media company, has continued to show tremendous growth this year both financially and in terms of audience metrics, as it has continued to evolve into a highly diversified media, entertainment and lifestyle brand\u2026 The continued growth and diversification of the company\u2019s revenue streams, including advertising, licensing and merchandise, has meaningfully enhanced the value of the media asset, which we believe is still underappreciated and extends well beyond the benefits to our sports betting business.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>Penn revealed that it is, therefore \u201cmaking progress on the build-out of stand-alone Barstool-branded sports bars\u201d in the two major cities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Likewise, Barstool founder Dave Portnoy <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/dave-portnoys-barstool-fund-will-become-established-charity-help-entrepreneurs-for-decades-to-come\"><span>revealed<\/span><\/a><span> that he is transforming the \u201cBarstool Fund\u201d \u2014 a project launched in December to help small businesses survive government-imposed lockdowns \u2014 into an official nonprofit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe\u2019ve decided to turn The Barstool Fund into a full-time charity,\u201d said Portnoy on his Instagram page last week. \u201cSomething that will be existing not only during COVID, and hopefully COVID doesn\u2019t come back\u2026 but [for] decades and making positive impacts for entrepreneurs, which I truly believe are the backbone of the United States.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe\u2019ve done something very special, very unique, and we\u2019ve created a brand and a name that people trust,\u201d he continued. \u201cThey know that when you donate to The Barstool Fund, we\u2019ll get the money and get it to small businesses instantly.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Barstool Fund has <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.barstoolsports.com\/the-barstool-fund\"><span>raised<\/span><\/a><span> nearly $42 million to aid 443 small businesses and is now searching for a full-time director.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Beyond his leadership of Barstool and live-streamed pizza reviews, Portnoy is known for speaking publicly against cancel culture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThere is an audience that appreciates, and it\u2019s not even Left or Right, it\u2019s kind of both, like, \u2018I like how these guys aren\u2019t backing down,\u2019\u201d he recently <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/dave-portnoy-talks-sports-politics-and-why-he-fights-back\"><span>explained<\/span><\/a><span> to Daily Wire editor emeritus Ben Shapiro. \u201cAnd our audience allows us to do that, so people have always asked, \u2018Why do you fight back\u2019 or \u2018Why do you push back\u2019 or \u2018Why don\u2019t you just shut up when someone takes a shot at you that you feel is unfair,\u2019 it\u2019s like, I\u2019m not going to do that.
