By some estimates, the legislation would truly <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/analysts-democrats-3-5-trillion-spend-may-cost-5-5-trillion\"><span>carry<\/span><\/a><span> a price tag as high as $5.5 trillion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/congress\/schumer-says-senate-will-immediately-consider-budget-after-infrastructure-bill-n1276326\"><span>CBS News<\/span><\/a><span> reports that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told members of his party that \u201cevery Senator will have opportunities to shape and influence the final reconciliation bill after adoption of the Budget Resolution.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cAt its core, this legislation is about restoring the middle class in the 21st Century and giving more Americans the opportunity to get there,\u201d he wrote. \u201cThis legislation will provide the largest tax cut for American families in a generation, while making the wealthy pay their fair share. In all phases, we will concentrate on communities that have too often been neglected, including communities of color and Native Americans.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A list of the budget resolution <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.democrats.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/Topline%20Summary%20of%20FY2022%20Budget%20Resolution.pdf\"><span>toplines<\/span><\/a><span> calls for the creation of new programs related to education, healthcare, environment, and infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Particularly notable provisions are as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><i><span>Establishes Universal Pre-K for 3 and 4 year olds and a new child care benefit for working families<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li><i><span>Makes Community College tuition-free for 2 years<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li><i><span>Creates the first ever federal Paid Family and Medical Leave benefit<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li><i><span>Provides Environmental justice and climate resilience<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li><i><span>Electrifies the federal vehicle fleet and buildings<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li><i><span>Historic level of investments in public housing, green and sustainable housing, housing production and affordability<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li><i><span>Establishes the first ever Civilian Climate Corps<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li><i><span>Provides green cards to millions of immigrant workers and families<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li><i><span>Adds a new Dental, Vision, and Hearing Benefit to the Medicare program<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li><i><span>Creates a new federal health program for Americans in the \u201cMedicaid gap\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>The \u201cCivilian Climate Corps\u201d was originally <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/democrats-3-5-trillion-reconciliation-package-will-include-aocs-civilian-climate-corps\"><span>proposed<\/span><\/a><span> by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA). The legislation would hire a \u201cdiverse and equitable\u201d group of 1.5 million young Americans to \u201ccomplete federally-funded projects that help communities respond to climate change and transition to a clean economy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Democrats intend to debate the budget resolution \u2014 which will attempt to use a process called reconciliation to bypass the need for a sixty-vote majority in the Senate \u2014 as soon as the $1.2 trillion <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/details-of-newest-bipartisan-infrastructure-deal-unveiled\"><span>Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act<\/span><\/a><span> is approved.
