The deal, after four months of negotiations, reached over 2,700 pages, which has included items from both Democrat and Republican wish lists.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been a long day, but we have plowed through, as I have intended,\u201d Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) stated. \u201cThe cloture motion on the final bill has passed by a very handsome, overwhelming vote.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite the air of cooperation circulating the Capitol, Democrats haven\u2019t passed up an opportunity to remind their Republican cohorts that while the bipartisan bill is currently on the table, it would quickly be followed by their massive reconciliation proposal.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">My statement on the infrastructure bill: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/LAyk2wnUUU\">pic.twitter.com\/LAyk2wnUUU<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Senator Todd Young (@SenToddYoung) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenToddYoung\/status\/1424530788490649600?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 9, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe will move forward to wrap this up as expeditiously as possible and then move on to the budget resolution with reconciliation instructions.,\u201d Schumer explained. \u201cThe bipartisan infrastructure bill and the budget resolution with reconciliation instructions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the wake of refusing to capitulate to Schumer\u2019s type of cooperative leadership, some Republicans have reportedly prepared to utilize a procedural loophole that could extend the clock for more than 24 hours before a vote could be held.<\/p>\n<p>One such senator, Tennessee\u2019s Bill Hagerty (R), has made it clear to both his fellow Republicans and the Democrats across the aisle that he would not move to speed up debate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDemocrats say that they want amendments, but they can\u2019t take yes for an answer,\u201d he expressed. \u201cDemocrats true intention is to rush this bill through so that they can hurry up and light the fuse on the $3.5 trillion spending spree, a socialist debt bomb, then leave town for vacation.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I want to vote on amendments, and today I tried to call up several for Senate consideration, but my Democrat colleagues objected, revealing their true intention\u2014so they can rush this through and get to the $3.5 trillion tax-and-spend spree. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/KLqTMGrO41\">pic.twitter.com\/KLqTMGrO41<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Senator Bill Hagerty (@SenatorHagerty) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenatorHagerty\/status\/1424566105335418888?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 9, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The House is currently in recess, with both infrastructure packages waiting for discussion upon its return in September.<\/p>\n<h4>MORE NEWS:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oann.com\/fmr-ambassador-to-afghanistan-we-are-in-moment-of-crisis\/\">Fmr.
