No word yet on Parts <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/eRBmrU0pmhk\">2<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/_rc-rh_oLFc\">4<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I could cross my fingers, hoping Parts 2 and 4 will escape their \u201cwoke\u201d and puritanical eyes.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026 Or I could write this column.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s really curious about YouTube\u2019s age restriction on our video series is that the parts are already \u201cunlisted,\u201d meaning no one can even see them unless I send out a special invitation.\u00a0 The series can be found elsewhere, on other platforms, and I had a hunch YouTube would likely ban them for political reasons, so why go to the trouble of making them public?<\/p>\n<p>Truthfully, I posted the videos on YouTube only so I could send them out for professional review, by special invitation only. I wanted critical feedback before printing the series onto DVDs, which could then be distributed nationally by mail (which even the gods of YouTube or Google can\u2019t stop, yet).<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the YouTube adults-only decree, neither video had more than 25 views. We weren\u2019t promoting it or trying to get more views. Other than the 20-plus people we sent it to for their opinions, no one even knew it was on the YouTube platform.<\/p>\n<p>Heck, we restricted the series more than the YouTube censors!<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s really interesting, though, is their reasoning for labeling our docuseries inappropriate for youngsters: None. That\u2019s right. They couldn\u2019t point to a single image, comment or sequence that was inappropriate for under-18 viewers.<\/p>\n<p>YouTube\u2019s official explanation was: \u201cWe age-restrict content when we don\u2019t think it\u2019s suitable for younger audiences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wow. So helpful. So detailed. So straightforward. So <em>justified.<\/em> Surely I am now educated enough never to make that mistake again.<\/p>\n<p>Sarcasm aside, I really do not have any idea what inappropriate content appears in our documentary.<\/p>\n<p>YouTube didn\u2019t say our video was \u201cderogatory\u201d or \u201cdangerous.\u201d It didn\u2019t cite any policy violation that it \u201cincites hatred\u201d or \u201cpromotes discrimination.\u201d Neither did they say the video has \u201ccontent that harasses, intimidates or bullies an individual or group of individuals,\u201d which is typical language for their policy violations.<\/p>\n<p>They just \u201cthink\u201d it is inappropriate for the younger audience.<\/p>\n<p>This is sort of like a parent saying, \u201cI think you\u2019re a bad boy; go stand in the corner.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Well, what did I do that was specifically bad? Can you name it? Or did I just make you uncomfortable? That might say more about what <em>you\u2019re<\/em> up to than what I am.<\/p>\n<p>Then there is this: Does YouTube even know what kind of material kids are being exposed to in the public schools?<\/p>\n<p>Many students are taught to study the violent Black Panther Party movement. They are being coached into praising Assata Shakur, who murdered a New Jersey state trooper in 1973, then escaped from prison in 1979. (And still on the run) They are taught to have an accepting attitude about \u201cblack rage and riotous forms of protest\u201d (in a New York syllabus).<\/p>\n<p>Yet somehow our docuseries is too \u201cadult\u201d for them, without providing a single example, citation or clip to justify the censorship.<\/p>\n<p>Even if it was too explicit for younger viewers (which it is not), we already had the video series \u201cunlisted,\u201d making it unavailable not only to minors but pretty much everyone.<\/p>\n<p>I know. YouTube can say that through some possible glitch, kids could accidentally stumble upon the series. But do they really think flimsy age restrictions controls are going to stop determined kids from watching videos?\u00a0 All a child has to do is click \u201csign in\u201d and that\u2019s it. They\u2019re watching.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe YouTube simply set out to annoy us. To say they are watching us. To say they can harass us anytime they please.<\/p>\n<p>Or maybe, just maybe, they\u2019re afraid videos like ours could go viral \u2013 especially among young people eager to spread the word that they\u2019re being lied to by their teachers about \u201cblack rage\u201d and the phony, divisive, race-baiting scam that Black Lives Matter really is.<\/p>\n<p>After letting this article sit overnight, I woke up this morning to learn that YouTube has now age-restricted Parts <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/eRBmrU0pmhk\">2<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/_rc-rh_oLFc\">4<\/a> of our <em>Black Lives Matter: The REAL Inconvenient Truth<\/em> series.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, they didn\u2019t stop there. They also age-restricted the trailer for our film <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/OiNnHYJ04w4\"><em>Europe\u2019s Last Stand<\/em><\/a> (57,124 views), which documents the rise of Islam in Europe. They also age-restricted the trailer for our documentary film, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/5wv5stc78qo\">Sleeping Giant: Islam Behind Bars<\/a>.<\/em> (18,864 views)<\/p>\n<p>Is YouTube\u2019s ultimate goal to make our channel look like a porno site?
