Listen to the full podcast <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/show\/morning-wire\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><b>1) EXCLUSIVE: Legal Battle Over Treatment Of \u2018Transgender\u2019 Child&nbsp;<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>The Topline:<\/b><span> The Daily Wire interviewed a father who is planning to sue a pediatric gender clinic in Minnesota after it declared his 9-year-old autistic son a \u201ctransgender lesbian.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Some Background: <\/b><span>According to medical records that Brenton Netz \u2014 the father in the case \u2014 provided to The Daily Wire, the clinic\u2019s gender therapist diagnosed Netz\u2019s autistic son with gender dysphoria in 2018.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Within months, the therapist was already discussing reversible and<\/span> <span>irreversible<\/span> <span>treatments after claiming the boy identified as a \u201ctransgender lesbian.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Netz says the boy\u2019s mother was taking him to the gender clinic without his consent and he only discovered the treatment because his name was attached to his son\u2019s medical records.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Legal Fallout<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>Netz\u2019s attorney told The Daily Wire it will be challenging to assemble a case against the clinic that proves damages.However, he said that if they succeed, it could set a precedent regarding this largely unregulated industry, especially in the case when two parents disagree on treatment options for a child.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Daily Wire reached out to CentraCare, but they declined to comment unless Netz\u2019s name was disclosed and more information was provided regarding the article.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_253722\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-253722\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-253722\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/kid2-300x169.jpeg\" alt width=\"610\" height=\"342\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dw-wp-production.imgix.net\/2021\/08\/kid2-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/dw-wp-production.imgix.net\/2021\/08\/kid2.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-253722\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Via Getty Images<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><b>Redefinition Of Abuse<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>The Daily Wire uncovered a presentation the therapist in the case conducted in 2016, which said abuse involves \u201cinvalidating one\u2019s masculine or feminine identity, invalidating or denial of access to one\u2019s preferred sources of affection, invalidating or denial of access to one\u2019s preferred sexual preference, etc.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The presentation also seemed to target religious parents when it defined spiritual abuse as \u201cexperiences that distort, retard, or otherwise interfere with spiritual development,\u201d such as \u201cwhen a caregiver replaces a child\u2019s higher power,\u201d or \u201cwhen caregivers are addicted to religion.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>2) Disney Gets Sued<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>The Topline: \u201c<\/b><span>Black Widow\u201d actress Scarlett Johansson made waves in Hollywood last week when she filed a lawsuit against Marvel\u2019s parent company, Disney.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Why It Matters: <\/b><span>The case could have major implications for how movie studios approach streaming versus theatrical releases.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Johansson Vs. They said Johansson\u2019s \u201clawsuit is sad and distressing\u201d and noted the film\u2019s release on streaming platforms was among the \u201ceffects of the Covid-19 pandemic.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Prominent feminist groups in Hollywood started speaking up on Johansson\u2019s behalf, calling Disney\u2019s statement a \u201cgendered attack.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Inside sources say that actors and directors are behind Johansson. They don\u2019t like the hybrid film release model and also don\u2019t like seeing one of their own treated this way by the executive suite.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>More Lawsuits On The Way<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>Emma Stone apparently had a similar deal for \u201cCruella,\u201d as did Emily Blunt for \u201cJungle Cruise.\u201d Now, credible sources say that Stone is considering suing Disney, as well.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>3) Musk\u2019s New \u2018Neuralink\u2019<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>The Topline: <\/b><span>Neuralink \u2014 <\/span><span>a<\/span><span> tech company founded by Tesla CEO Elon Musk \u2014 announced that it will begin developing brain implants for humans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Quote Of The Day<\/b><span>: \u201cI\u2019m really excited to show you what we\u2019ve got. These threads contain electrodes which are then connected to an implant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Remember:<\/b><span> They haven\u2019t tried this with humans, but they successfully demonstrated the technology with a macaque monkey who played a game of \u201cMindPong.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Without any physical controller, the monkey played the video game \u201cPong\u201d by visualizing the motions of the paddle, and the device carried out the moves on the game itself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What Next?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>Neuralink has said they want to produce a line of products which will allow people \u201cto communicate more easily via text or speech synthesis, to follow their curiosity on the web, or to express their creativity through photography, art, or writing apps.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>What\u2019s Happening At The Olympics?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>The 2020 Tokyo Olympics are coming to an end in what has been a successful Olympiad for the American teams. On Friday, track and field star Allyson Felix became the most decorated female in the sport, taking home bronze in the 400-meters. It is Felix\u2019s 10th Olympic medal, breaking a tie with Merlene Ottey of Jamaica and tying her with Carl Lewis for the most Olympic medals by any track and field athlete.<\/p>\n<p><span>In International Olympic news, two Belausian team Olympic coaches have been stripped of their credentials and asked to leave the Olympic village by the International Olympic Committee.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The news comes after Belarusian sprinter Krystsina Tsimanouskaya was forcibly taken to a Tokyo airport after being removed from the Belarus team for criticizing her coaches.
