The agency <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wave3.com\/2021\/05\/04\/faa-enforces-zero-tolerance-policy-unruly-behavior\/\">has adopted<\/a> a &#8220;zero-tolerance policy&#8221; toward misbehaving passengers, in which offenders may face criminal charges, a $35,000 fine, or lifetime bans from airlines.<\/p>\n<p>One incident of passenger unruliness <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2021\/08\/04\/1024577106\/frontier-airlines-passenger-taped-to-seat-after-allegedly-groping-assaulting-cre\">attracted national attention<\/a> this week. A 22-year-old traveler on a Frontier Airlines flight allegedly groped and assaulted flight attendants on Saturday before staff duct-taped him to his seat.
