Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on the steps of the U.S. Capitol with a large group of people while wearing no mask and then putting one on for a photo opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>In the clip shared on Twitter on Wednesday, we see the Democratic New York Rep. surrounded by a group of people who were doing a sit in for an extension of the national moratorium on evictions. In the shot, it appears she\u2019s not wearing a mask and a handful of others aren\u2019t wearing one. <strong><a class=\"text-black\" href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/15\/alexandria-ocasio-cortez-cuba-embargo\/\">(RELATED: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Says \u2018Absurdly Cruel\u2019 US Embargo Is Partly Responsible For Cuban Suffering)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is then decided that a photo should be taken to keep the \u201cpressure up\u201d on other colleagues, the video shows. At that point, Ocasio-Cortez and others appear to grab their masks and put them on.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"7.7011494252874\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">AOC joins in on the DC mask theater for a photo op, only to remove it as soon as the camera is down. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/cRQwE6yy9U\">pic.twitter.com\/cRQwE6yy9U<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Townhall.com (@townhallcom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/townhallcom\/status\/1422955645196722178?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 4, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The group then said together, \u201chousing is a human right\u201d and the photo is snapped. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/22\/aoc-scolded-republicans-pro-life-but-dont-support-15-minimum-wage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED:&nbsp;AOC Scolds Republicans That Are Pro-Life But Don\u2019t Support The $15 Minimum Wage)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A message comes across the video that reads, \u201cOne minute later,\u201d and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/27\/ocasio-cortez-senate-filibuster-minority-power\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ocasio-Cortez<\/a> can be seen sitting amongst the group without her mask on as she smiles and talks to others. There is no shot of her taking the mask off.<\/p>\n<p>Photos from Getty Images and on social media indicate the video was taken on Tuesday during an event organized by Rep. Cori Bush where Ocasio-Cortez and others gathered to protest the expiration of the federal eviction moratorium., <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/alexandria-ocasio-cortez-mask-photo-op-viral-video-eviction-moratorium-1616017\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Newsweek<\/a> reported. Ocasio-Cortez\u2019s attire matches the ones in photos from the day.
