Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/texas-border-city-covid-positive-migrants-released-february-last-week\">reported<\/a> on Wednesday that one border city alone says that thousands of infected migrants have been released into the U.S. under Biden.<\/p>\n<p>During the press conference, DeSantis clearly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/desantis-responds-to-biden-i-am-standing-in-your-way-from-taking-peoples-freedoms-do-your-job\">took aim<\/a> at Biden\u2019s big government approach to fixing the pandemic, which has started to take a negative turn recently under the president\u2019s leadership. A recent poll from Gallup found that Americans\u2019 optimism about the future of the pandemic has <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/353003\/americans-optimism-covid-dashed-cases-surge.aspx\">cratered<\/a> in recent weeks, from 89% being optimistic in June to only 45% being optimistic in July. Biden has also been widely slammed, including in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/abc-political-director-biden-confusing-covid-messaging\">mainstream<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/biden-covid-cdc-delta-6defb0c9-fa29-4452-8b49-ec16a8131dce.html\">left-of-center<\/a> news organizations, for his administration\u2019s confusing and chaotic messaging on the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis took immediate action to get Floridians vaccinated once vaccines were available last year and he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flgov.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/orders\/2020\/EO_20-315.pdf\">prioritized<\/a> the elderly, who are the most vulnerable, and residents of long-term care facilities and medical professionals.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis has repeatedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/desantis-urges-people-to-get-vaccinated-these-vaccines-are-saving-lives-reducing-mortality\">encouraged<\/a> people to get vaccinated and has been vaccinated himself.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis\u2019s office responded to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/desantis-torches-biden-admin-after-psaki-makes-false-statement-about-his-handling-of-pandemic-in-florida\">false claims<\/a> made by Psaki earlier in the week when she claimed, There are steps and precautions that can be taken, including encouraging people to get vaccinated, encouraging people to wear masks, including allowing schools to mandate masks and allowing kids to wear masks, which is not the current state of play in Florida.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis\u2019 office noted that the governor, who has three young children, recently signed an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/desantis-signs-executive-order-giving-parents-power-to-choose-whether-to-mask-their-kids-at-school\">executive order<\/a>&nbsp;allowing parents to make the choice of whether their children will wear masks in school because he feels strongly that parents are the best ones to make decisions about their own children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy dismissively ignoring Governor DeSantis\u2019 efforts to protect vulnerable Floridians, Psaki is the one playing politics with the pandemic,\u201d DeSantis Press Secretary Christina Pushaw told The Daily Wire. \u201cThe White House should be more concerned about the flip-flopping of the CDC, which is inadvertently promoting vaccine hesitancy with their confusing, contradictory public communications.
