Andrew Cuomo\u2019s sexual harassment allegations.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Verdict: False<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The image shows CNN political director David Chalian, not Toobin. Toobin does not appear to have gone on CNN to discuss the allegations against Cuomo so far.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>James released a <a href=\"https:\/\/ag.ny.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/2021.08.03_nyag_-_investigative_report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">165-page report<\/a> that found Cuomo had sexually harassed 11 women and fostered a \u201ctoxic\u201d work environment, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/cuomo-sexual-harassment-report\/2021\/08\/03\/705c42a4-f226-11eb-ab6f-b41a066381df_story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Washington Post<\/a>. Cuomo strongly denied the claims in a video released after James\u2019 Aug. 3 press conference detailing the report\u2019s findings, NBC New York <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnewyork.com\/news\/local\/attorney-general-expected-to-release-findings-of-probe-into-cuomo-harassment-allegations\/3196087\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, a Facebook image shows what appears to be a still frame from a segment aired on CNN featuring two men and two women on the left side, and a picture of Cuomo on the right. Text accompanying the image reads, \u201cWow CNN a has Jeffrey Toobin analyzing Gov. Cuomo\u2019s sexual harassment scandal. I can\u2019t make this up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Toobin exposed himself on a Zoom call in October 2020, resulting in him being fired from his job as a staff writer for The New Yorker and taking a leave of absence from his job with CNN, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/06\/10\/business\/media\/jeffrey-toobin-cnn.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The New York Times<\/a>. Toobin returned to CNN in June, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>The image, does not however, show Toobin on CNN commenting on Cuomo\u2019s sexual assault allegations. Check Your Fact found the segment shown in the Facebook image published on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/videos\/politics\/2021\/08\/03\/governor-andrew-cuomo-investigation-report-chalian-ath-vpx.cnn\">CNN\u2019s website<\/a>. The clip shows the man in the lower-left corner commenting on the allegations, and he is identified in a chyron as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/profiles\/david-chalian\">Chalian<\/a>. The man in the upper-right corner is CNN legal analyst <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/profiles\/paul-callan\">Paul Callan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Toobin does not appear to have made comments on Cuomo\u2019s allegations on CNN to date.&nbsp;A search of his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/profiles\/jeffrey-toobin-profile\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNN profile<\/a> did not yield any results for segments on such a topic.
