This fall, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jsonline.com\/story\/news\/politics\/elections\/2020\/12\/14\/wisconsin-supreme-court-leaves-voters-decide-confined-status\/6539363002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.jsonline.com\/story\/news\/politics\/elections\/2020\/12\/14\/wisconsin-supreme-court-leaves-voters-decide-confined-status\/6539363002\/\">roughly 215,000<\/a> voters in Wisconsin said they were indefinitely confined, nearly a four-fold increase from the 2016 election.<\/p>\n<p>The court said <strong>the government\u2019s interpretation of Wisconsin\u2019s indefinitely confined was erroneous<\/strong>. \u201cA county clerk may not \u201cdeclare\u201d that any elector is indefinitely confined due to a pandemic,\u201d the court said.
