They then proceeded to arrest him and lead him away from the park \u201cfor failing to answer their questions \u2018reasonably.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>His partner \u201crepeatedly told officers that the man had an exemption and tried to provide personal details.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cAccording to the man\u2019s son, he is required to carry medication with him at all times and had a legitimate medical exemption from wearing the face mask,\u201d the Daily Mail added, with the son saying his father \u201cwas interrogated as to why he was there, what he was doing and why he wasn\u2019t wearing a mask\u2026 he answered all of these questions.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cDo you believe me now you pr***s?\u201d the man\u2019s partner asked the officers as he fell to the ground. She then told an officer to give her space to administer his medication.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cHere, let me do it darling\u2026 Absolutely disgraceful,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cHe did not do anything illegal, he did not retaliate in a violent manner. He was conducting himself peacefully and not looking for trouble,\u201d the man\u2019s son argued. \u201cThis hurt me more than anything I\u2019ve experienced\u2026 Seeing my father get arrested as he was having a seizure.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Police officials told Daily Mail Australia that investigations are ongoing regarding the incident.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cOn August 2, police patrolling in the Botanical Gardens arrested a man for failing to comply with directions under the Public Health Act 2005 (Qld),\u201d a spokesperson said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cDuring the arrest, the man appeared to collapse.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe Queensland Ambulance Service was requested, attended and did not identify a medical issue however the man was transported to hospital as a precaution,\u201d the spokesperson added. \u201cAs police had discontinued the arrest at that time, investigations are continuing into any possible offenses committed on that day.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cAustralia\u2019s Queensland state on Monday extended a COVID-19 lockdown in Brisbane, while soldiers began patrolling Sydney to enforce stay-at-home rules as Australia struggles to stop the highly contagious Delta variant of the coronavirus spreading,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/asia-pacific\/australia-extends-covid-19-lockdown-brisbane-sunday-2021-08-02\/\">Reuters<\/a> reported on Wednesday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt\u2019s starting to become clear that the initial lockdown will be insufficient for the outbreak,\u201d Queensland state Deputy Premier Steven Miles said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
