Andrew Cuomo\u2019s senior advisor Richard Azzopardi sent files containing negative information about Cuomo accuser Lindsey Boylan to a slew of journalists mere hours after Boylan came forward with #METOO allegations in December 2020, an investigation released Tuesday found.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The confidential files were accompanied by a statement from Press Secretary Caitlin Girouard that there \u201cis simply no truth to these claims\u201d against the governor, the report said.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The investigation also found that beginning around December 15, 2020, \u201cthe Governor and a group of advisors worked on a draft letter or op-ed\u201d which attempted to tie Boylan to supporters of former President Donald Trump.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A senior advisor to Gov. Andrew Cuomo sent files containing negative information about Cuomo accuser Lindsey Boylan to a slew of journalists mere hours after she came forward with #METOO allegations in December 2020, an investigation released Tuesday found.<\/p>\n<p>An investigation released Tuesday by Attorney General Letitia James found that Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo \u201csexually harassed a number of State employees through unwelcome and unwanted touching, as well as by making numerous offensive and sexually suggestive comments\u201d and that this conduct \u201cwas part of a pattern of behavior that extended to his interactions with others outside of State government.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rich Azzopardi, a senior advisor to Cuomo, sent confidential files on Boylan to David Caruso of the Associated Press, Dana Rubinstein of the New York Times, Ed McKinley of the Times Union, Bernadette Hogan of the New York Post, and others on December 13, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Azzopardi sent the files \u201cjust hours\u201d after Boylan tweeted that the governor had sexually harassed her, the investigation report said. (Photo by Eduardo Munoz Alvarez\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThe various drafts of this letter included complaints against Ms. Boylan that were part of the Confidential Files,\u201d the investigation found. \u201cThe drafts also discussed alleged interactions between Ms. Boylan and male colleagues other than the Governor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe letter denied the legitimacy of Ms. Boylan\u2019s allegations, impugned her credibility, and attacked her claims as politically motivated (including with theories about connections with supporters of President Trump and a politician with an alleged interest in running for Governor),\u201d the investigation found.<\/p>\n<p>Cuomo\u2019s officials internally argued over the contents of the letter, and it was ultimately not published, according to the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Boylan originally accused Cuomo of sexual harassment in <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/12\/13\/andrew-cuomo-sexual-harassment-lindsey-boylan\/\">a December tweet thread<\/a>. She later shared details of her allegations <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@lindseyboylan4NY\/my-story-of-working-with-governor-cuomo-e664d4814b4e\">in a Medium post,<\/a> describing Cuomo\u2019s behavior and workplace as riddled with \u201cpervasive harassment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe made unflattering comments about the weight of female colleagues,\u201d she said. \u201cHe ridiculed them about their romantic relationships and significant others. He said the reasons that men get women were \u2018money and power.\u2019\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/12\/13\/andrew-cuomo-sexual-harassment-lindsey-boylan\/\">(RELATED: Former Cuomo Adviser Accuses NY Gov Of Sexual Harassment: \u2018I Am Not The Only Woman\u2019)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Boylan said she tried to excuse Cuomo\u2019s alleged behavior until the governor allegedly kissed her without her consent during a one-on-one briefing.<\/p>\n<p id=\"56dc\" class=\"hf hg fo hh b hi hz hj hk hl ia hm hn ho ib hp hq hr ic hs ht hu id hv hw hy dh gk\" data-selectable-paragraph>\u201cWe were in his New York City office on Third Avenue,\u201d she said. \u201cAs I got up to leave and walk toward an open door, he stepped in front of me and kissed me on the lips. I was in shock, but I kept walking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-selectable-paragraph>\u201cAfter that, my fears worsened,\u201d Boylan said. \u201cI came to work nauseous every day. My relationship with his senior team \u2014 mostly women \u2014 grew hostile after I started speaking up for myself.
