And they aren\u2019t that hot on President Joe Biden, either.<\/p>\n<p>According to running graph by <a href=\"https:\/\/today.yougov.com\/topics\/politics\/trackers\/kamala-harris-favorability\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">YouGovAmerica<\/a>, Harris\u2019 unpopularity hit 49%, while her popularity hovers at 45%.<\/p>\n<p>Her numbers top those of Vice President Mike Pence. A Gallup poll from July 2017 showed that Pence\u2019s unfavorability was 41.9%, while his favorability stood at 42.1, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/world-news\/2021\/07\/31\/future-president-kamala-harris-now-underwater-sinking-popularity\/\">according<\/a> to The Telegraph.<\/p>\n<p>And according to an Economist\/YouGov poll, Harris is particularly unpopular with younger voters. Just 36% of those surveyed 18-29 view her \u201cfavorably.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harris\u2019 poor numbers match those of her boss, President Joe Biden. A recent&nbsp;Rasmussen Reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/biden_administration\/prez_track_july30\">poll<\/a> showed at least 52% of likely voters disapprove of Biden\u2019s work in the White House. What\u2019s more, 42% said they \u201cstrongly disapprove\u201d of the Biden presidency, while just 26% said they \u201cstrongly approve\u201d of his presidency.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the polls on the Biden-Harris team have been drifting downward about rising inflation and a new outbreak of a COVID-19 variant, just weeks after Biden declared the pandemic all but over.&nbsp;In a Morning Consult-Politico&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/f\/?id=0000017a-c756-d4d6-ad7f-e75623c00000\">poll<\/a> released last week, 47% of registered voters said they had an unfavorable view of Harris, while 45% had an unfavorable view of Biden.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA recent ABC News\/Ipsos <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/americans-optimism-countrys-direction-year-drops-20-points\/story?id=79036435&amp;cid=social_fb_abcn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">poll<\/a> recently found that just 45 percent of Americans are optimistic about the direction of the country,\u201d The Federalist reported. \u201cThe drop is nearly 20 percent lower than the 64 percent optimism polled in May shortly after Biden completed 100 days in office. The same poll indicated that 55 percent of respondents are pessimistic about the direction of the country, which is up 19 points from the 36 percent who reported the same thing in May.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And a poll <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/americans-optimism-countrys-direction-year-drops-20-points\/story?id=79036435\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">by ABC News\/Ipsos poll<\/a> released Sunday morning showed pessimism soaring among Americans. But those findings didn\u2019t appear for long on the liberal network, which devoted only 90 seconds of air time over two days to its own poll.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur new ABC News\/Ipsos poll out this morning, it shows a significant drop in optimism about the direction of our country over the next year,\u201d co-host Whit Johnson announced on Sunday\u2019s Good Morning America. He added this staggering finding: \u201cTake a look here, only 45% of those polled are optimistic, that\u2019s down 19 points from May, when it was 64%.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While Biden is unpopular at home,&nbsp; Harris, who was charged by Biden to handle the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border, is also unpopular abroad, according to a BigLeaguePolitics report last month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProtesters in Guatemala made sure to send Kamala Harris a message as her motorcade drove to a scheduled meeting with Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei. Harris\u2019 motorcade passed by a group of protesters holding multiple signs on Monday. The messages included: \u2018Kamala, Mind Your Own Business,\u2019 \u2018Kamala, Go Home,\u2019 and \u2018Kamala, Trump Won,&#8217;\u201d the site wrote.<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"9\">\n<p>Another sign read \u201cKamala Stop Funding Criminals #FueraDeGuatemala,\u201d while yet another featured an edited picture of a pregnant Harris and read \u201cGuatemala is Pro-Life #MomalaHelpMe.\u201d The vice president is in Guatemala and Mexico for two days of meetings and talks with officials about the overwhelming level of migration from Central America. It is Harris\u2019 first trip overseas as vice president.
