She was like, \u2018Let\u2019s go out and kill floor,\u2019 and that\u2019s what I did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Biles notably pulled out the women\u2019s team finals citing her mental health.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhenever you get in a high-stress situation, you kind of freak out. I have to focus on my mental health and not jeopardize my health and well-being,\u201d the gymnast <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/entry\/simone-biles-naomi-osaka-mental-health-olympics_n_61001bdae4b00fa7af7c385b\">told<\/a> reporters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have to protect our body and our mind. It just sucks when you\u2019re fighting with your own head.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel like I\u2019m also not having as much fun \u2014 and this Olympic Games I wanted it to be for myself and it felt like I was still doing for other people \u2014 and that hurts my heart that doing what I love has been taken away from me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s more to life than just gymnastics,\u201d Biles added.<\/p>\n<p>The 24-year-old later made the decision to skip further individual competitions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter further medical evaluation, Simone Biles has withdrawn from the final individual all-around competition, in order to focus on her mental health,\u201d a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/simone-biles-withdraws-from-individual-all-around-event-to-focus-on-mental-health\">statement<\/a> from USA Gymnastics said. \u201cSimone will continue to be evaluated daily to determine whether or not to participate in next week\u2019s individual event finals. Jade Carey, who had the ninth highest score in the qualifications, will participate in her place in the all-around.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe wholeheartedly support Simone\u2019s decision and applaud her bravery in prioritizing her well-being.
