Kate Brown announced masks would now be required in all state schools and agency buildings. On Friday, the Democrat announced the reinstatement of statewide COVID restrictions and mask requirements.<\/p>\n<p>This came nearly one month after Brown lifted all restrictions. Brown cited the rise in Delta variant infections by saying the move was important for the safety of young children who have not been eligible for vaccinations yet.<\/p>\n<p>The Democrat governor went on to explain, \u201cwe are, however, going to be requiring masks for K-12 schools starting in the fall.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We must continue to listen to the health experts and follow science if we want to defeat this virus once and for all.
