Andrew Cuomo (D) is pleading for citizens and businesses to return to the Big Apple after implementing harsh COVID restrictions for more than a year. During a recent virtual conference with the Association for a Better New York, Cuomo urged companies to bring employees back to working in person.<\/p>\n<p>This comes as the Democrat governor said he fears the city\u2019s economy will not recover on its own.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow we have to do two things at once. We have to manage this COVID increase and it\u2019s real, but at the same time we have to have an affirmative plan to bring back New York state and New York City,\u201d said Cuomo. \u201cNew York City is not going to come back on its own.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cuomo claimed short-term remote work was acceptable to prevent the virus\u2019 spread, but suggested it\u2019s time to return back to the office.
