Ron DeSantis (R) said he will not be bringing back coronavirus restrictions in his state, providing Floridians with the right to choose. During a press conference at a Cape Coral restaurant on Friday, DeSantis announced an executive order to prohibit school districts from imposing mask mandates.<\/p>\n<p>He started the conference by assuring all in attendance Florida wouldn\u2019t have any new mandates, regardless of what he called a \u201cmovement\u201d to restrict the American people. \u201cWhat we\u2019ve tried to do in Florida is not try to play off fears, not try to ratchet up hysteria,\u201d said DeSantis.
