During a news briefing Thursday, White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked to undoubtedly say the U.S. economy will not be shut down again.<\/p>\n<p>However, she avoided the question by saying the White House would follow CDC guidelines. This comes despite criticism of CDC statements due to its ever-changing stance on face masks. When pressed on the matter, Jean-Pierre had this to say:<\/p>\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Biden Spokeswoman Doesn\u2019t Rule Out Lockdown &amp; School Closures, Says Biden Will \u201cFollow\u201d Guidance\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CywyYVRQihc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<p>Jean-Pierre then went on to speak in defense of vaccine mandates by suggesting such measures are \u201cimportant even in the private sector.\u201d Meanwhile, critics have said \u201cexperimental vaccines\u201d must not be mandates and can only be taken voluntarily.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cThe pandemic we have now is a pandemic of the unvaccinated.
