House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), House Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), GOP Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) and several other House Republicans spoke on what they called poor leadership from both Biden and Pelosi.<\/p>\n<p>McCarthy started off by taking aim at Pelosi\u2019s attempts to force House lawmakers to once again wear masks even if they are fully vaccinated. He said Pelosi\u2019s approach to the pandemic has been flawed from the start and is becoming more about holding control.<\/p>\n<p>McCarthy discussed the lack in preparation and the two bipartisan committees that looked into the Capitol protest months ago and was adamant, had Democrats truly wanted a bipartisan investigation into Jan. 6, Republicans wouldn\u2019t be so skeptical of the committee\u2019s intentions.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;We have a country in crisis\u2026Every time Americans go to the checkout at the grocery store or gas station, they\u2019re paying more. Every time they turn on the local or national news, they are seeing crime continue to surge.&#8221; \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GOPLeader?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@GOPLeader<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/IzCATOgx1r\">pic.twitter.com\/IzCATOgx1r<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 House Republicans (@HouseGOP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HouseGOP\/status\/1420749046541553666?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 29, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>House Minority Whip Scalise shifted the conversation to the Biden administration\u2019s negative impact on the nation\u2019s economy. Additionally, GOP Chair Stefanik summed up the issues facing Americans today with one statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmerica is in crisis because of President Biden and Nancy Pelosi\u2019s failed leadership, and their radical far-left socialist agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She suggested the rampant inflation is a direct result of the Democrats\u2019 tax and spend policies, and further denounced the spiking crime rates across the country.
