The body voted 217-to-212 on Wednesday to approve the $62.2 billion package for the department and its foreign operations. The bill comes as part of appropriations for the next fiscal year, which starts on October 1.<\/p>\n<p>Three Democrats joined all Republicans in voting \u2018no\u2019 on the bill while citing concerns that it increases the department\u2019s funding by 12 percent, which is way above reasonable adjustment. Republicans also argued the bill allows U.S. money to be used to fund abortion providers overseas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt also doubles funding to the United Nations populations fund,\u201d noted Rep.
