The jet man is back, let me know if you see him.<\/p>\n<p>ATC: Skywest 3626, did you see the UFO?<\/p>\n<p>Pilot: We were looking, but we did not see Iron Man.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The sightings is only the latest in a string that stretches back to last year.&nbsp;In September 2020, an airline pilot landing at LAX reported seeing \u201ca guy in a jetpack\u201d flying about 300 yards off his plane\u2019s wing \u2014 at an altitude of 3,000 feet.&nbsp;The pilot was on his final approach to the busy airport and was about 10 miles from the tarmac.<\/p>\n<p>The American Airlines pilot radioed his sighting into the flight control tower: \u201cTower, American 1997, we just passed a guy in a jetpack.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmerican 1997, OK, were they off to your left side or right side?\u201d the air traffic controller asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOff the left side, maybe 300 yards or so, about our altitude,\u201d the pilot said, FOX-11&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxla.com\/news\/airline-pilot-reports-seeing-guy-in-jetpack-near-aircraft-while-approaching-lax-runway\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A second pilot also reported seeing the jetpack guy. Fox 11 reported a Skywest pilot confirmed the sighting:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"19\">\n<p>Skywest Flight: \u201cWe just saw the guy passing by us in the jetpack.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then the tower alerted an incoming Jet Blue flight to the reported hazard:<\/p>\n<p>Tower: \u201cJet Blue 23, use caution, a person in a jetpack reported 300 yards south of the LA final at about 3,000 feet, 10 mile final.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jet Blue 23: \u201cJet Blue 23, we heard and we are definitely looking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another pilot chimed in: \u201cOnly in L.A.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Two months later, the FAA said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/travel\/news\/2020\/10\/15\/person-jet-pack-spotted-near-lax-airport-second-time-months\/3661680001\/?utm_source=feedblitz&amp;utm_medium=FeedBlitzRss&amp;utm_campaign=usatoday-newstopstories\">statement<\/a> to USA Today that \u201ca China Airlines crew reported seeing what appeared to be someone in a jet pack at an approximate altitude of 6,000 feet, about seven miles northwest of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday. The FAA alerted local law enforcement and will look into the report.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In air traffic control recordings reported by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/abcWNN\/status\/1316659245107081217\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ABC News<\/a>, someone can be heard asking about the report, saying, \u201cFlying object? Was it a UAV [Unmanned Aerial Vehicle] or was it a jet pack?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was a jet pack reported about seven miles west of you. There\u2019s no way you can go and check that out can you?\u201d another person in the recording says.<\/p>\n<p>Some doubt that \u201cJet Pack Guy\u201d is a real human.
