Gavin Newsom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A spokesman for the San Francisco Police Department told the outlet that officers were dispatched to the scene around 6:40 a.m. and discovered a broken storefront window but did not find any suspects inside the store. As of Tuesday evening, no arrests had been made.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver the past year during the shelter-in-place, this store location has experienced several attempted break-ins, similar to many of the other businesses in the area and across the city,\u201d said Joe Arellano, a spokesman for the PlumpJack Group.<\/p>\n<p>According to The Chronicle, officials said law enforcement has responded to at least three previous burglaries at the shop this year. The hospitality management company operates multiple properties, including wineries, bars, restaurants, and a boutique hotel.<\/p>\n<p>More details from The Chronicle:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"19.716300940439\">\n<p><em>Newsom opened the Fillmore Street wine shop in 1992 with seed money from billionaire oil heir and family friend, Gordon Getty.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>When he became mayor in 2004,<\/em><em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfchronicle.com\/politics\/article\/SAN-FRANCISCO-Newsom-sells-holdings-to-Getty-2771878.php\">Newsom sold his share of the businesses<\/a> he owned back to Getty for $1.7 million, but kept control of the assets outside the city. He bought his share of the company back from Getty after he was elected lieutenant governor in 2010.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>As governor, Newsom placed his wine and hospitality companies in a blind trust run by a family friend. Newsom and his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, have earned millions from their stakes in the companies in recent years, according to their tax returns.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In December, KGO News\u2019 investigative unit, the ABC7 I-Team, <a href=\"https:\/\/abc7news.com\/plumpjack-management-group-llc-gov-newsom-winery-sba-releases-detailed-ppp-data-what-business-does-gavin-own\/8618229\/\">analyzed data<\/a> provided by the Small Business Administration and \u201cfound at least nine companies affiliated with the PlumpJack Groups\u201d received COVID-19 relief loans intended to keep employees on the payroll during the pandemic-induced recession. The funds came from the federal Paycheck Protection Programs and reportedly totaled nearly three million dollars.<\/p>\n<p>ABC7 traced a company called Villa Encinal Partners Limited Partnership back to the PlumpJack winery in Napa.
