The only thing I could do was hug her and kiss her, and nothing else,\u201d Hern\u00e1ndez told BBC Mundo. \u201cShe told me: \u2018Mommy, stand strong, nothing is going to happen to me but I am going to appeal.\u2019 She is aware that she did not do anything.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>BBC Mundo reports that Zequeria was arrested despite having no apparent role in the protests:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"17\">\n<p><i><span>Hern\u00e1ndez said that his daughter, an accounting student, was detained in the municipality of San Miguel del Padr\u00f3n in Havana when she was going to a hairdresser, saw a demonstration in the distance and decided to return, according to the minor in her own trial.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>He specified that Zequeira was arrested by \u201cblack wasps,\u201d as members of the Special National Brigade of the Cuban government are known in Cuba, which this week was sanctioned by the United States for \u201crepressing\u201d protesters.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>\u201cOne took her arm, the other by the neck, they pulled her by the hair and put her inside the truck,\u201d Hern\u00e1ndez said. \u201cI am devastated, they have taken a piece of me. I don\u2019t sleep, I don\u2019t eat thinking about her: what is she doing? What are they doing to her?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8bmGPOMlbs8\"><span>video<\/span><\/a><span> posted to YouTube \u2014 shared by lawmakers such as Rep. Mar\u00eda Salazar (R-FL) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) \u2014 Zequeira recounted that the regime forced her to strip naked while being detained.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThey said, \u2018Take off your clothes. Take off your blouse.\u2019 They took off my bra to see if I had needles,\u201d said Zequeira. \u201cI don\u2019t know why they did that to me. I told them, \u2018I\u2019m a minor. I can\u2019t be here. I\u2019m a minor!\u2019 They paid no attention to me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"9.9886363636364\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Horrifying.
