Burgess Owens introduced a new bill that would prohibit the federal government from funding diversity trainings that segregate participants along racial lines.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cSay No To Indoctrination Act,\u201d obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller, will be introduced Tuesday, Owens\u2019 office said. The office of House Minority Leader and Republican California Rep. Kevin McCarthy confirmed that he will force a vote on the bill later in the day.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"8.2352941176471\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">NEWS: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GOPLeader?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@GOPLeader<\/a>\u2018s office is telling me that on Tuesday, House Republicans will force a vote on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepBurgessOwens?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@RepBurgessOwens<\/a>\u2018 bill to prevent federal funds from going towards CRT.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Henry Rodgers (@henryrodgersdc) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/henryrodgersdc\/status\/1419789198085738497?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 26, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The \u201cSay No To Indoctrination Act\u201d prohibits the federal government from funding trainings that \u201c<span class=\"a\">separate individuals based on race, color, or <\/span><span class=\"a\">national origin; <\/span><span class=\"a\">assign characteristics or assumptions to in<\/span><span class=\"a\">dividuals based on race, color, or national origin; or <\/span><span class=\"a\">state or imply that the United States is an <\/span><span class=\"a\">inherently racist country.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"a\">The bill is intended to take aim at concepts associated with Critical Race Theory (CRT), Owens told the Daily Caller.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the Tulsa Race Massacre to Jim Crow and Juneteenth, young Americans deserve to learn about all significant events in our country\u2019s history. Critical Race Theory, however, teaches students that America is irredeemably racist and intrinsic characteristics like race, color, and national origin define you. As we strive to address injustice, I\u2019m proud to introduce the Say No to Indoctrination Act to keep taxpayer dollars from funding discriminatory practices and divisive worldviews,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Owens <a href=\"https:\/\/owens.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/owens-introduces-legislation-combat-critical-race-theory\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">introduced<\/a> similar legislation in May in response to President Joe Biden\u2019s revocation of an executive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/M-20-34.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">order<\/a> signed by then-President Donald Trump that prohibited the use of \u201cdivisive concepts\u201d in federal trainings. The Trump executive order was <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/07\/republicans-critical-race-theory-andrew-sullivan-christopher-rufo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">challenged<\/a> in court, and Biden eliminated it on his first day in office. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/14\/burgess-owens-critical-race-theory-overturn-joe-biden-executive-order\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Rep. Burgess Owens To Introduce Legislation Combating Biden\u2019s Rollback Of Trump-Era Critical Race Theory Ban)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Biden signed an executive order June 25 that would <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/26\/biden-executive-order-crt-diversity-equity-government\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">require<\/a> racially conscious hiring and diversity trainings in the federal government. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scientificamerican.com\/article\/the-problem-with-implicit-bias-training\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Social scientists<\/a> and medical professionals have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apa.org\/monitor\/2008\/07-08\/psychometric\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">criticized<\/a> such trainings for heightening racial tensions.<\/p>\n<p>Republicans at the state and federal level have introduced dozens of bills combating CRT, which holds that America is fundamentally <span class=\"il\">racist and<\/span>&nbsp;teaches people to view every social interaction and person in terms of race.
